when i finished this pic, i was remembering a particularily fine moment of my marital arts history...
it was a wintery tasmanian dawn, and i was out at my mountain dojang (and when i say 'mountain dojang' what i mean is a kicking-bag tied to a tree branch) in a jumper(not a hoody) and shorts (to aid in the flexibility of my kicks) ...a cold sun rose through the trees, and i just took a short moment to collect my thoughts, think about who i was, where i was going, exactly what i wanted from life......then i exhaled a small cloud of white and continued to beat the living crap out of my bag...
i thought about using a clear sky instead of the dojang wall, but then i decided i liked the texture too much...and i liked the feeling the red breath gave too...i gave some thought to 'heating' the skin, y'know, giving it a warmer colour, or even a glow, but i eventually decided against it...a little too corny...
anyway, i tried to take in as much of your useful advice as possible, if i missed anything, tell me! i seem to remember my forgetting sommit really, really important!
i think in future I'll ask you guys for more advice, i mean, i prolly never would have mucked with those lighting effects if it hadn't been for 's advice, and a few of you suggested i darken that shadow on the inside of the hood...it's your pic...
I like the style, cept im not feeling the coldness you described, would have been nice to have some fog
or something.
But its still goin in my faves coz i can relate to it.

I really like the CG style you used and the lensflare like effect you added.
Though i must say that there isn't much "Coldness" feel on this pic, i think that maybe another BG or some fog would give that feeling better. Still i think that this is a great work!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
